There is a beauty in stillness, and that is what I adore most about taking photos. Photos of buildings, of nature and of life. Because you are literally forcing life to pause for even a moment. And that becomes a memory that will live forever. This just reminds us to stop and notice what the rush of life makes us miss. And that's the very essence of photography for me, drawn as I am to the streets and buildings around us. To take a photo, you must stop and hold the moment; otherwise, you might just miss it.

Memories can be made by simply being in the moment, but cameras have allowed us to hold that moment for eternity. The beauty I find in capturing images is that even for those that we have lost and have become part of the earth, we can always hold on to them for a bit longer. It has been said that people die twice, first when they leave this earth, and second when the last person says their name. I would like to add that with photographs, they get to live forever.
